The constructed electric charging infrastructure has been put into service
On 15 February this year, the completed electric charging infrastructure was put into service. The construction works were carried out by SIA RECK, construction supervision services were provided by SIA BaltlineGlobe and author supervision services were provided by SIA REMPRO.
As part of the works, 21 electric bus chargers with a capacity of 120kW were installed in Bus Park 7. Each of these chargers is equipped with two charging ports, allowing 42 electric buses to be charged at the same time.
The construction works also included extensive associated works in the area of the 7th Bus Park to ensure the construction of the utilities necessary for the charging facilities, as well as to enable the safe operation of the chargers and the parking of electric buses.
The main characteristics of the works are the volume constructed or rehabilitated:
- two new substations
- 2 729 metres of medium voltage electrical cables
- 1 801 metres of low voltage electrical cables
- 153.2 metres of rainwater drainage system networks
- 140.7 metres of water supply networks
- 3065.5 m2 of asphalt surface course
- 2533.12 m2 of concrete pavement.
We would like to remind you that the electric charging infrastructure was built within the framework of the project "Electric bus charger construction in Riga, phase 1", co-financed by the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF). The total investment in the project is planned at €4.01 million, of which up to €1.86 million will be co-financed by the CEF.
